In their early days the band, happy ever after, practised for hours in Boy Scout huts and garages. Their perseverance paid off and they were offered gigs in local Pubs and at functions. As the band's popularity grew, they raised enough cash to buy themselves some decent, professional equipment and they were quickly playing bigger, better gigs, and building a substantial and loyal following.

The band were resident for a time at the Lindella Club in Glasgow and the Bobby Jones Ballroom in Ayr ,where they first really developed their harmony vocals, playing predominantly the Motown and Soul hits of the day. They often played the pubs and clubs in and around Glasgow, Stirling, Aberfeldy, Gatehouse of Fleet and Ardrishaig as well as venues all over Scotland.

The band split in 1970 as each member pursued his interest in music in different ways but in August 2010, Billy got all the members to perform together at a private function. The event was a great success and prompted the guys to agree that the time was right to reform.
